To achieve such savings, Enerfit uses a variable frequency drive, a controller packed with patented logic and a set of precision sensors. The drive continuously controls the indoor fan speed to match indoor cooling and heating load require- ments year-round. The variable speed VZH compressors provide supe- rior efficiency at part-load conditions, can improve efficiency by more than 30 percent compared to fixed-speed compressors and offer precise cooling capabilities. Designed for small rooftop and process cooling applications, the new inverter scroll compressor range VZH introduces cooling capacities between 4 and 6.5TR with a single compressor, and up to 13 tons with a manifold configuration. With a permanent mag- net motor and patented Danfoss Intermediate Discharge Valves, which can help improve part-load efficiency by up to 24 percent, the new variable speed compressor range VZH will facilitate efficiency ratings up to 21 IEER and can modulate from 15 to 100 RPS. The wide range of models offers a variety of choices when it comes to selecting the right system to meet customers' needs. The ductless line is ideal for rooms without exterior walls or windows and comes in single- or multi-zone configu- rations while servicing up to four independent zones. The heat pump delivers powerful, energy-efficient zone heating and cooling with up to 3 tons of capacity and requires minimal ductwork. CHECK OR CIRCLE #140 Mitsubishi Electric expands light commercial hyper- heating product line Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division has made enhancements to the P-Series Hyper-Heating INVERTER (H2i) heat pump outdoor units for light com- mercial applications. The updated P-Series joins the most complete family of cold climate heat pumps on the market. The series features higher ef- ficiency and superior performance with improved heating capac- ity at very low ambient conditions, unparalleled by others in the market. Its Hot Start process guarantees warm air flow from the start, which is critical in cold climate conditions where heating performance truly counts. Additionally, the P-Series offers multiple fan speeds, and its humidity-reducing dry mode helps to combat excess moisture in rooms. CHECK OR CIRCLE #144 Fujitsu expands the Halcyon multi-zone line Fujitsu General America now offers 56,259 combinations to achieve greater "mix-and-match" flexibility for its Halcyon light commercial multi-zone heat pump line. Halcyon multi-zone equip- ment offers ultra-high efficiency. New to the lineup is the addition of floor-mount units in 9,000, 12,000 and 15,000 Btu/hr. These small (less than 24-inches-high and 30-inches-wide) indoor units were developed specifically for residential and light commercial retrofit applications. Also new is the addition of 7,000 Btu/hr compact cassette and slim-duct mod- els. Mix-and-match flexibility of evaporator (air handler) type and capacity allows installers to choose the indoor unit that best fits the application. The outdoor unit compressor matches the power request of the indoor units. This creates more efficiency and energy savings because the compres- sor isn't constantly cycling on and off and attempting to achieve full power. The multi-split outdoor unit has an operating range from -25 F to +122 F. CHECK OR CIRCLE #141 Friedrich's next generation ductless split systems line of ers cooling solutions for any room Computer-room cooling system features MovinCool air conditioner MovinCool, a brand of DENSO Corporation, announced that its CM12 air conditioner is being used to power the new Uptime Racks Modular Rack Cooling System 13. The MRCS13 is manufactured and distributed by Computer Room Uptime. MovinCool supplies the CM12 units to Computer Room Uptime on an OEM basis. The self-contained CM12 needs no external refrigerant lines. The unit delivers 13,000 Btu/hr of cool air directly to the IT equipment mounted above it, resulting in increased efficiency and lower electricity costs, as well as saving floor space.
