AQUATHERM PEX ADAPTER ALLOWS FOR EASY TRANSITIONS, INSTALLATIONS Aquatherm's polypropylene-random piping systems feature a new PEX compression adapter made of PP-R and lead-free brass. This adapter allows installers to easily transition between Aquatherm and PEX in potable water and radiant systems. The zero-lead PEX adapter is manu- factured to ASTM F1960. A new male- end design allows installers to fuse directly into fusion outlets, making it quicker and easier to install. The new compres- sion adapter has a street connection that can be welded directly into an Aquatherm fitting, providing greater ease of use. It uses an expander ring and clamp connection. The ball valves are ideal for plumbing or hydronic systems where draining is required. In addition, they are IAPMO listed and ANSI third-party certified Lead Free. CHECK OR CIRCLE #111 Victaulic extends Vic-300 MasterSeal line with stainless steel butterfl y valve Victaulic has expanded the Vic-300 MasterSeal butterfly valve line with a completely stainless steel option. The new Series 461 stainless steel butterfly valve provides a cost-competitive option for the HVAC and potable water markets. The Series 461 valve is NSF 61/372 approved to meet the new low-lead requirements, and is rated for cold and hot potable water service. The valves are designed for pressures ranging from full vacuum to 300 psi and for bi-directional, dead-end services to full working pressure. The stainless steel valve features a patented seat design, made popular by the Victaulic Series 761 but- terfly valve, which assures full 360-degree sealing. The valves are available in 3- to 8-inch sizes. This valve is designed to minimize flow losses and hydraulic shocks in the pumping system. It features a standard epoxy-coated ductile iron body to support deep set pumps. An exclusive stainless steel guided poppet system ensures that the valve automatically adjusts noiselessly from high- to low-flow rates. The radiuses of the valve seat allow a self-cleaning "one-point swiping action" by the radius-edged, custom- molded rubber seal disc. CHECK OR CIRCLE #112 Uponor introduces two commercial- engineered polymer multiport tees Uponor North America recently launched two new, engineered polymer multiport tees to meet the increasing demand in commercial plumbing systems using crosslinked polyethylene pipe. The new, high-flow branch and flow-through EP multiport tees are targeted for commer- cial installations where supply lines are required to be upsized due to pressure or code requirements. One multiport does the same job as three separate tees, reducing the amount of connec- tions by 45 percent. Both the branch and flow-through multiports feature 1 ¼-inch inlets with three ¾-inch outlets.
