In addition, the unit features flanged supply and return connections on both sides of the units, as well as a compact footprint, giving contractors install location flexibility. The Buderus SSB Industrial Boiler includes dual heat exchangers for increased capacity. Two 316L stainless steel watertube heat exchangers have easily accessible supply and return con- nections. The patented heat exchanger design provides consistent combustion for longevity and durability, with preci- sion welds for increased reliability. The boiler can achieve up to 96.8 percent thermal efficiency with up to 10:1 modu- lation on a single unit and 40:1 modula- tion at maximum-cascaded capacity. CHECK OR CIRCLE #129 Enhanced Controls Ideal for Variable Primary Flow, Hybrid Boiler System Applications Weil-McLain has enhanced its high- efficiency SlimFit 1000, 1500 and 2000 MBH commercial condensing boiler line with the advanced capabilities of the Unity Controller. The upgrade is designed to reduce installation and setup time for contractors, simplify boiler system design for specifying engineers and improve control interface commonality and communication across the entire Weil- McLain high-efficiency boiler line. The new control features include a setup wizard that guides the installer through the start-up process and 10 preset typical heating operation condi- tions. The new design also features zone stacking up to 24 programmable zones without the need for additional external panels and 0-10 VDC analog output signal for easy integration with a lag boiler in a hybrid system. CHECK OR CIRCLE #128 Condensing Economizer Achieves 94% Effi ciency Cleaver-Brooks has launched C2X-HE, the first two-stage condensing economizer in the industry to achieve 94 percent efficiency. The economizer is designed for 100-800 horsepower boilers. It is ideal for applications with a 50-100 percent make-up water requirement. It is also perfect for process hot water applica- tions, such as food processing and industrial laundries. The first-stage economizer in the C2X-HE, made of 304 stainless steel tubes with aluminized steel-fin material, re- turns wasted heat to the boiler feedwater. Its second-stage condensing section, constructed of 304 stainless steel tubes with aluminum-fin material, preheats make-up water or process water, delivering best-in-class overall system efficiency. The C2X-HE is smaller and lighter than current two-stage economizer models and is ASME U-Stamp certified. CHECK OR CIRCLE #127 EEMAX LAUNCHES NEXT GENERATION OF WATER HEATING PRODUCTS The AccuMix II product line is a new generation of point-of-use water heating products from Eemax. AccuMix II electric tankless water heaters are an ideal solution for public hand-washing applications — or other low-flow hand-washing applications — where precise temperature control is required. These models also yield a considerable savings on energy and water with a low-flow activation of .3 gallons per minute. Available in sizes ranging from 3.5 kW to 11.5 kW, all models feature 3/8-inch plumbing connections to accommodate the replacement of competitive products in the field without additional plumbing changes. Installers can expect a significant reduction in time and labor, as opposed to installing a thermostatic electric tankless water heater and a separate ASSE- 1070-approved thermostatic mixing valve. AccuMix II heaters are factory set at 105 F to comply with UPC 407.3 plumbing codes for public hand-washing. CHECK OR CIRCLE #130 RINNAI INTRODUCES HYBRID COMMERCIAL WATER HEATING SYSTEM Building off the success of the original Demand Duo Hybrid Water Heating System, Rinnai is introducing a smaller, more versatile line extension. Originally avail- able in a 119 gallon version, the new 80 gallon unit offers a more compact yet simple-to-install solution that com- bines the best of both tank and tankless technologies. "The more compact Demand Duo 80 offers a quick and easy upgrade for commercial direct replacement situations," said Ansley Houston, senior director of com- mercial business. "You get the best of both worlds with the unique part-tank, part-tankless design. It's simple to install and reduces cost of ownership by eliminating costly and frequent replacements." CHECK OR CIRCLE #131 ON-DEMAND TANKLESS WATER HEATER IDEAL FOR LARGE COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS With a capacity of over 3,000 MBH, 3 million Btu/hr, 4,400 GPH and 100:1 turndown ratio, the compact iQ3001 from Intellihot is able to provide endless hot water for large commercial applications. Optimal for hotels, multi-family residential buildings, correctional facilities and hospitals, the units conserve energy and reduce car- bon footprint by lowering greenhouse emissions. The increased capabilities and capacities of the iQ3001 enable properties to eliminate multiple unnecessary pieces of equipment such as storage tanks and large boilers, which eradicates the risk of Legionella and significantly saves on installation costs, op- erating expenses and capital expenditures. In addition to cost savings, the new smart tankless water heater's monitoring and ana- lytics capabilities allow for greater control over operational efficiency. The iQ3001 will be available in fall 2018. CHECK OR CIRCLE #132 HVACPproducts.com Spring 2018 \ HVAC & Plumbing Product News 21
