He was disappointed with the product he was using. But then, he discovered Power- Mate. "We have used our hand truck on a minimum of 85 installations and have not only been very pleased, but sur- prised removing some boilers that we figured we would have to split to be removed," Turner said. PowerMate is four machines in one: stair climber, tailgate lift, dock/curb leveler and well-balanced dolly for flat surface and rough terrain moving. The LE model can vertically stack. Pow- erMate is the ideal choice for moving HVAC-R and plumbing equipment safely. Products are highly adaptable to lift a variety of products such as boilers, furnaces, chillers, commercial and resi- dential water heaters, air conditioning units, water treatment equipment, heat pumps and more. The company is a supplier to mem- bers of PHCC, the Plumbing-Heating- Cooling Contractors Association; MCAA, the Mechanical Contractors As- sociation of America; IGSHPA, the In- ternational Ground Source Heat Pump Association; ACCA, Air Conditioning Contractors of America and numerous other organizations, buying groups and associations. Justin Reedy of Ferguson, a Wol- seley Company, was tired of using an appliance dolly for jobs. And after a job installing two large water heaters at a YMCA, he needed a change. In order to get the old heaters out, he had to navi- gate plywood ramps and low-hanging pipe. "It took two grown men two hours to get the new heaters in, and both of us were bloodied and exhausted when we finished," Reedy said. Fast forward and the same YMCA needed to replace two more of the same heaters. "We used PowerMate equipment this time," Reedy said. "We were able to wheel the heaters in on a 45 degree angle, navigate the ramps and low-hang- ing pipes and it took one driver with no blood or exhaustion to get it done." He added that from a safety stand- point, it's already paid for itself. It has allowed his company to get into a new kind of business that he previously couldn't service. "I'm totally happy with your prod- uct," Reedy said. "After having your trainer show us how to use it correctly, we're looking forward to all of our fu- ture deliveries." All PowerMate products are backed by training and support. Various opera- tor training programs are available to fit every budget. Two of the most popular training programs include onsite opera- tor training and train-the-trainer pro- grams. Post sales, an ongoing customer care program, includes scheduled cour- tesy calls, troubleshooting, equipment repair and re-certifications. Also, value- added reporting on both the equipment and the trained operator(s) is provided via CRM software. Local installations of products can be arranged.
