1. EVAPCO DRY, ADIABATIC COOLERS OFFER FLEXIBILITY FOR INDUSTRIAL HYDRONICS SYSTEMS Ideal for use in industrial hydronics systems, the eco-Air Series of dry and adiabatic coolers from EVAPCO offers unparalleled flexibility in a wide range of capacities, footprints, motor types and controls. The latest heat transfer solutions in- clude eco-Air series of dry coolers, eco-Air series of air cooled condensers and eco-Air series of adiabatic coolers and condensers. Available in fully dry and adiabatic designs, heat rejection is maximized with minimal or no water use. CHECK OR CIRCLE #106 2. PROPEX EP OPPOSING-PORT TEES REDUCE NUMBER OF REQUIRED FITTINGS BY 75 PERCENT Ideal for use in hydronic heating and cooling riser piping applications with spacing constraints, Uponor's ProPEX Engineered Polymer Opposing- port Tees eliminate the need for additional tees and elbows to facilitate piping in two directions. The tees, which are available in 1-, 1 ¼-, 1 ½- and 2-inch flow-through sizes with ¾ -inch out- lets, reduce the number of required fittings by 75 percent and the number of required connections by 60 percent. CHE CK OR CIRCLE #107 Components, equipment and technology meeting the high demands for today's efficient hydronics systems B oilers and radiators have been burning the midnight oil for many winters to keep homes and buildings warm — and occupants comfortable — over the course of more than a century. That technology has evolved into the efficient equipment seen in today's hydronics systems. These products represent a few newly released hydronic components and equipment on the market: 3. THRUSH HOT-PAK NOW OFFERED IN CUPRONICKEL The functionality of the Thrush Hot-Pak will remain the same as its 316 stainless steel unit, but customers now have the option to upgrade the shell and the tubes to premium cupronickel. The Thrush Hot-Pak facilitates the semi-instan- taneous heating of water, allowing for a constant supply of water to any commercial application. The pre-engineered system provides an eco- nomical solution to the expense of large storage tank systems. In addition, the water heater's space-saving vertical or horizontal design makes it ideal for tight installations. An electronic control option includes remote temperature set point control, allowing the temperature to be adjusted to meet changing demand requirements. CHECK OR CIRCLE #108 4. VIEGA INTRODUCES NEW PROPRESS HYDRONIC BALL VALVE Viega introduced its line of Viega ProPress Hydronic Ball Valve press x hose thread for cop- per systems. The hydronic ball valves are full port and designed for non-potable water applications. The ball valves are available in ½- and ¾ -inch press sizes and ¾ -inch hose sizes. The ball valve features NH threads and an EPDM sealing element. The Viega ProPress copper system is available in more than 600 fitting configurations. The pat- ented Smart Connect feature provides installers with added confidence in their ability to ensure the integrity of connections. ProPress fittings are available with EPDM, HNBR and FKM sealing ele- ments. CHECK OR CIRCLE #109 5. COMMERCIAL STAINLESS STEEL FIRE TUBE BOILER HITS HYDRONIC SCENE Raypak introduces the XVers commercial stainless steel fire tube boiler. XVers has many advanced features that ensure long life and simple, quick commissioning for the installer. With an input range from 856-3,006 mBtu/hr, the XVers may be applied to primary flow or primary- secondary systems. With innovations such as 'Sure Start, integrat- ed flow sensor and simple programming for vent material and glycol, contractors and engineers are able to install with extreme ease.
