CHECK OR CIRCLE #101 Plumbing Manifold System Provides Hotels with Fast, Consistent Water Viega's ManaBloc plumbing manifold sys- tem is a high-efficiency, homerun parallel water distribution system that provides hotels and other commercial applications with fast, consistent hot water delivery while decreasing energy costs and reduc- ing water waste. With fewer fittings hidden behind the walls, the system minimizes potential leak points and operates multiple fixtures at once without dramatic tempera- ture and pressure changes. Wait time for hot water is also significantly decreased. With a range of ports from 14 to 36, the Viega ManaBloc system incorporates inte- grated quarter-turn shutoff valves for each fixture, without having to shut off the main water supply. CHECK OR CIRCLE #102 Refrigerant Leak Detector Features Low Profi le, Suited for Hotels The MVR-300 from Bacharach is a refrig- erant detector for use in occupied spaces. Typical applications include monitoring for potential leaks from air conditioning/ HVAC systems in hotel rooms and apartments. The monitor ensures the safety of occupants, in addition to enhancing the effectiveness and energy efficiency of the HVAC system, minimizing potential en- vironmental impact from leaking gases and helping to comply with regulation. The MVR-300 is installed in a standard 2-gang electrical back box so it sits flush to the wall. Its low profile, neutral design blends into typical room décor, making the instrument unobtrusive. A range of communication options allows for alarms to be central- ized into a building management system or other control system, as well as triggering automated actions to mitigate the risks of a refrigerant leak. CHECK OR CIRCLE #104 Vertical Stack Heat Pump Built to Meet Design of Hotels The Whalen Company's Whisperline Vertical Stack heat pump offers simple, cost-effective installation combined with a flexible offering in the vertical stack product category. Available in 1/2 through 3 ton capacities, with efficiencies up to 17.7 EER, the units are engineered to provide energy-efficient heating and cooling as part of either boiler/cooling tower or geothermal applications. Designed for a variety of applications, including hotels, the Whisperline Vertical Stack is built to meet the design of the building. The heat pump is capable of performing at entering water temperatures of 60-95 F and at 40-100 F with the addition of an extended-range package and is functional in water or ground-source applications. When it comes to making guests feel at home, HVAC and plumbing products play an important role in making guests feel comfortable and at ease. Whether a staycation, vacation or work conference, lodging provides a home away from home. In-room heating and cooling products, along with elegant-yet-efficient bathroom fixtures, help in soothing guests and provide a restful stay. The following products represent the latest hospitality products on the market: Be Our Guest VRP System Takes Commanding Role in Lodging Market With the official launch of the VRP (Variable Refrigerant Packaged) Heat Pump system, Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. has grabbed a position as a top provider of HVAC solutions for the lodging market. Designed for full and select service properties where maximum comfort, quiet and interior design are top priorities, VRP is a total HVAC solution. The system combines variable refrigerant flow technology with the convenience and simplistic design of a closet- mounted, single-packaged unit. A Precision Inverter Compressor gives exceptional performance and reduces sound. The variable capacity matches the unit's output to actual demand for increased comfort; this provides lower energy consumption and improved humidity control. CHECK OR CIRCLE #103 Drain Pump Designed for Heavy-Duty Commercial Applications The 1 horsepower Sanicom 1 simplex drain pump from Saniflo is designed to pump greywater away from demanding com- mercial applications, such as hotels. The pump handles up to 194 F water, making it perfect for high-efficiency washing machines used in hotels and other commercial applications. A washing machine can connect directly into the pump, rather than indirectly through a laundry tray, eliminating the extra cost and installation of a utility sink. In addition, the unit is specially designed to withstand liquids with highly acidic properties, such as wastewater from processing applications.
