It provides lower energy usage and a smaller footprint than an air-cooled fluid cooler and up to 60 per- cent or more reduction in site water usage compared to an evaporative fluid cooler. The Marley V Tech Fluid Cooler enhances the utility of an air- cooled system with the efficiency boost of a wet system during peak conditions. Adiabatic precooling of the air dramatically increases the heat rejection capability, enabling outlet temperatures not possible with a standard air-cooled fluid cooler. Evaporative pads precool air only on peak days and coils remain dry to maintain effi- ciency and life expectancy. Electronically commutated motors help ensure reliable and efficient operation. CHECK OR CIRCLE #143 YORK Air Conditioning Unit Gives More Home Comfort Options The newest addition to the YORK Affinity Series from Johnson Controls — the two-stage, 19 SEER YXT AC unit — provides efficient, high-per- formance comfort for a variety of applications, allowing contractors to meet a wide range of homeowner needs. The two-stage YXT air condi- tioner, which can be sold as a complete Affinity residential system or as a premium upgrade to an existing system, provides contractors and homeowners flexible options by matching it with either a variable speed air handler or a standard ECM air handler. In addition, units can be in- stalled with a conventional two-stage thermostat or the communicating Wi-Fi-enabled Affinity Hx touch-screen thermostat, which allows remote monitoring and diagnostics using the Hx Pro App. CHECK OR CIRCLE #141 Carrier Introduces Air Conditioning System with Greenspeed Intelligence Carrier has introduced its new Infinity 20 Air Conditioner with Greenspeed intelligence. Systems with Greenspeed intelligence run quietly and at different speeds, allowing them to operate at longer run times but at lower and steadier capacities to better manage humidity. The combination of performance and precise temperature control of these systems allows them to adjust to the heating and cooling demands of the home, which can also lead to energy savings. The most efficient system in this lineup features 20.5 SEER and 15.5 EER and boasts the lowest max-speed sound ratings among all competitive vari- able speed air conditioning systems. CHECK OR CIRCLE #140 NEW ONE-WAY CEILING CASSETTE OFFERS ADJUSTABLE AIRFLOW Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc.'s Cooling & Heating Division has introduced its MLZ Series One-Way Ceiling Cassette. An expansion of the company's M-Series, the product features a sleek, narrow-body ceiling cassette design. Designed to fit between stan- dard 16-inch joists, the MLZ can be easily installed in existing homes and new construction projects. It is effective regardless of ceiling height because of its adjustable airflow. Plus, its auto vane control is capable of adjusting air direction based on the home- owner's comfort needs. Additionally, the ceiling cassette can be serviced from directly beneath the unit itself, without requiring an access panel. This further eliminates the need for contractors or remodelers to modify the surrounding area to install or service the product. It also includes a built-in condensate lift mechanism with a 19-inch lift. With less need to manipulate joists, homeowners can enjoy significant cost savings on installation. CHECK OR CIRCLE #144 COMMERCIAL ROOFTOP UNITS MEET, EXCEED DOE MINIMUM ENERGY STANDARDS Rheem has introduced the 7.5-12.5 ton Commercial Renaissance HVAC Line, a platform of package air conditioners and gas electric units. Renaissance is equipped with innovative technologies that not only meet the new 2018 Department of Energy IEER requirements to deliver higher efficiencies and lower operating costs, but are also compliant with the enhanced 2023 regulations. The equipment line is 30 percent more energy ef- ficient than the baseline technology available in most commercial HVAC units. In addition to an efficiency upgrade, the line has been redesigned to match the industry's commonly used footprint. This means sig- nificantly faster and more cost-effective install and startup time, protecting comfort and environment of the business. CHECK OR CIRCLE #145 TRANE INTRODUCES XV19 LOW-PROFILE VARIABLE SPEED HEAT PUMP Trane is offering XV19, a new low-profile variable speed heat pump. The product runs quietly, which makes it ideal for units located close to indoor or outdoor living spaces, and in regions with noise ordinances. The heat pump can be used in most residential buildings and comes in 2-5 ton capacities with maximum operating sound levels of 43-57 A-rated decibels. When not required to run at full capacity, the XV19 will run at slower speeds and store energy, which increases efficiency and lowers utility costs. The heat pump can run from 30 to 50 percent of rated capacity. CHECK OR CIRCLE #142 HVACPproducts.com HVAC & Plumbing Product News \ Summer 2018 26
