Made from coconut shell activated carbon, the new Aquifer Filtration System is a much more eco-friendly option than traditional coal-based filters, and is easy enough to install that homeowners will not need to hire a profes- sional to ensure clean drinking water for their families. The fan pack is a versatile and easy-to-install dispersion unit with only an aesthetically pleasing grille located in the living space. -The fan pack is sized so that it is hidden in the wall. This allows the unit to be installed on nearly any wall in the house, even if there is a liv- ing space on both sides. VORTEX ACTIVELY TREATS AIR IN HVAC SYSTEMS Nu-Calgon has launched the first air purification product resulting from its partnership with Global Plasma Solutions. Called the iVortex, the low- maintenance air purifier actively treats the air as it passes through a home's HVAC system without creating ozone or other harmful byproducts. The iVortex is a bi-polar, high-output ion genera- tor designed specifically for treating air in residen- tial duct systems up to six tons in size. As the air flows past the iVortex, positive and negative ions actively purify the air, killing mold, bacteria and viruses in the coil and living space. A minimum of 50 percent savings is realized with initial settings, but by customizing the settings, customers can reduce up to 96 percent water waste. Six dip switches inside allow customization for maximum water savings without reducing humidity output. PURAFIL LAUNCHES MONITORING PRODUCT TO TEST AIR QUALITY Purafil recently launched its new Active Corrosion Monitoring product, the OnGuard Lite, to support a need to test the air quality of server rooms, rack rooms, control rooms, motor control centers and more without waiting for a laboratory test. The product uses a silver sensor and has a simple pass or fail result that shortens the time for discovering a corrosion problem versus a traditional Corrosion Coupon, which requires a laboratory analysis. The filters can be custom manufactured to meet a variety of industrial applications, such as ASME coded, sea water, high temperature, high pressure and much more.
